South Carolina Football 2011: Stephen Garcia Could Prove to be a Fatal Mistake

The South Carolina Gamecocks enter the season ranked 12th in the AP Poll and have SEC Championship dreams as well as BCS bowl hopes. The defense is looking fantastic on paper and the offense has all the weapons to be very successful.
South Carolina just needs a quarterback they can count on.
The Gamecocks are more than likely going to start senior quarterback Stephen Garcia. He is the most experienced quarterback on the roster and has the numbers to back it up. Well, sort of.
In three seasons at South Carolina, Garcia has thrown for 6,753 yards and 43 touchdowns. At the same time he's managed to throw 32 interceptions. His first two seasons as a starter he's thrown double digit interceptions.
Now, Garcia has all the tools to become a better quarterback and help lead the Gamecocks to where they want to go but can he stay out of trouble?
Garcia has been suspended five times from the university, including being arrested a couple of times. He is a lose cannon and every few months seems to be in some type of incident.
Of course he provides South Carolina with the best chance of winning but is he worth all of the trouble? Say the Gamecocks are weeks away from the big game against Florida and he gets in trouble, again.
There goes the chemistry and possibly the season.
