It has been recently reported that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are looking into Manny Ramirez. If they re-sign Mark Texiera it is unlikely they will sign Manny Ramirez after having to find a closer and a quality starter.
Less expensive options include Adam Dunn, Pat Burrel, Raul Ibanez, Bobby Abreau, or a trade.
There has been talk about Brian Fuentes coming to Angel Stadium, and of Jake Peavy finalizing the rotation. If they sign both of them and Texiera they may be looking for even lesser expensive options. Including Mark Kotsay, Jerry Hairston Jr., a return of Jim Edmonds, or re-signing Garret Anderson.
The Angels have a past of keeping great players great or making them better including Vlad, Hunter, Texiera, and Garland.
As a Mariners fan, that means to me that the big one is coming for them. With the Athletics surprising the baseball world by trading for Matt Holliday, the Angels may surprise everyone by signing Manny Ramirez.
