90' + 4' - Saunders again with another stop. He can do this all night. Actually, he has.
And that's a wrap.
FINAL
LOS ANGELES GALAXY 2
Omar Gonzalez 38'
Chad Barrett 77'
LIGA DEPORTIVA ALAJUELENSE 0
90' + 3' - You know something? I wish we were facing Saprissa instead. Then we would really be looking at payback. Saunders with a collection.
90' + 2' - 9,855 in attendance. I was right. The attendance was over 9,000.
Long volley for La Liga. Cristhian Lagos now. LA counter.
90' + 1' - Four minutes of extra time, says Morales. For a quick-strike team like La Liga, that can be an eternity...unless Josh Saunders proves me wrong here.
In any case, that's a full 90 for Robbie. Nice to get that down, eh?
90' - Now let's see how many minutes Mauricio Morales puts here. I don't understand why La Liga are taking so long to take advantage of a man advantage.
Substitution Los Angeles Galaxy
IN 8 Chris Birchall
OUT 14 Robbie Keane
89' - The Galaxy are still going to put pressure, even when they go down a man late.
88' - Red card 19 Juninho
Los Angeles Galaxy
This has not been the Brazilian's night. He has clearly underperformed, and this is just adding salt to his wounds.
87' - Throw-in, Los Angeles. We're seeing some better, smarter football from Los Angeles's backline and midfield. Alajuelense are clearly getting frustrated.
86' - More good ball movement from the LA back line. Here's a throw for Salvatierra.
85' - Saunders clears. And the Galaxy get back on the attack. Magee, and Robbie Keane is offsides. Well, he's going to learn from this: he can't produce all the time.
84' - Here's a free kick for Alajuelense. Nothing doing.
Substitution L.D. Alajuelense
IN 5 Cristian Oviedo
OUT 17 Kevin Sancho
83' - Some interesting shenanigans on the pitch. As if we haven't seen enough already. Back to action, and La Liga are dispossessed.
82' - And another Alajuelense player is down.
Substitution L.D. Alajuelense
IN 22 Cristhian Lagos
OUT 28 Juan Guzman
81' - We're into crunch time at Victoria Street, and the Barrett goal is forcing the issue. Bad giveaway by David Beckham. La Liga counter.
80' - Here comes La Liga. Ivan Garcia redistributes. End-to-end action as Josh Saunders collects.
79' - Well, ladies and gentlemen on Bleacher Report, the mountain just got a bit steeper for Alajuelense, who are now down 2-0 to the top guns of the U.S.A., the LA Galaxy.
78' - That shot was wide. Goal kick, Josh Saunders.
77' - Throw-in, Todd Dunivant.
Yellow card 18 Mike Magee
Los Angeles Galaxy
GOAL! Los Angeles Galaxy 11 Chad Barrett Assist: 5 Sean Franklin
No sooner had Rodriguez issued the card than Barrett slotted home the second goal of the night. Welcome back, Chad.
76' - La Liga with some buildup. Offsides, Carlos Clark. All these offsides calls are taking their toll. The good news for Alajuelense is that they're only a goal down.
75' - Substitution L.D. Alajuelense
IN 15 Carlos Clark
OUT 11 Alejandro Alpizar
74' - This is turning into a defensive battle, and La Liga are the ones pressing.
73' - They turned Keane loose, but again he was marked by Alajuelense's backline. That is a gift right there, and Saunders is forced to make a save on Marcelo Fazzio.
72' - Offsides. Chad Barrett had been underproducing as of late. First minutes in a while for this forward. Not well done by La Liga.
71' - Dunivant. Magee wins a throw.
Substitution Los Angeles Galaxy
IN 11 Chad Barrett
OUT 17 Adam Cristman
