I have been on hiatus throughout the NFL lockout because, quite frankly, I just didn't feel like writing about a whole bunch of legalistic fluff.

What is prompting me to write today is the exciting start that the Cowboys have in the preseason.

I know, it's only preseason, but who didn't love seeing McGee under center or hearing about how Captain America lit into the team after losing to the Chargers?

I tell you, I can't wait until the regular season starts.  I know the team is still a little rusty, but so is the rest of the NFL.

The game for us to watch is the Cowboys revenge game against the Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

The Pats are mopping the floor with their opponents in the preseason.  The Cowboys had better work out their kinks fast, or they will be just another team that the Patriots manhandle.

A Packers fan I spoke to last night says he thinks that the Dallas defense will gel quickly under Ryan, once the regular season gets under way.

Let's pray the 'Boys D gels sooner than that.

Where can I comment?
