SEC Expansion: Texas A&M, Baylor Is a Mess the SEC Doesn't Need
There are many people who don’t think the SEC needs to add any more teams but that is up for debate.
What the conference certainly did not need was the mess and potential lawsuit that has come with the addition of Texas A&M.
Expanding the SEC into the talent-rich state of Texas is a great move and while Texas A&M is not at the same level as Texas, at least the Aggies don’t bring a diva attitude and their own private network to fight with.
And the mess is far from over. The SEC will need to find a 14th team at some point in the near future to balance out the divisions.
A&M is a great university with great traditions and a fan base that is as loyal as they come. But if the SEC knew all of the trouble to get them, would they still have pursued the Aggies?
