Indianapolis Colts Could Finish Season Unbeaten
This might seem like a stretch to some, but I do believe that the Indianapolis Colts have the potential to win every remaining regular season game. They have seven games left which would be a heck-of-a-lot of games to win in a row.
Then again, the Colts do have something of a history of stringing victories together. We started 2005 at 13-0, 2006 at 9-0, and 2007 at 7-0. The difference here is that there is no pressure to remain undefeated. Another factor that might benefit us is the need to win. With the way the playoff picture in the AFC is this year, it might be anyone's game.
So lets take a look at the remaining schedule before you call me crazy...
Week 11: Texans @ Colts
Week 12: Colts @ Chargers
Week 13: Colts @ Browns
Week 14: Bengals @ Colts
Week 15: Lions @ Colts
Week 16: Colts @ Jaguars
Week 17: Titans @ Colts
There is only one team with a winning-record on that remaining schedule. I'm certain winning all seven in a row would require some luck, but it is a possibility.
The Chargers, Browns, and Jaguars have the potential to give us some trouble but I got to believe that if we can beat the Patriots and Steelers, we can beat those teams.
Then of course there comes the Tennessee Titans. We came somewhat close to beating them three weeks ago. We managed to shut down their run. That game was played in Tennessee, playing in Indianapolis might be a different story.
There is also the very likely scenario that they have their playoff position locked up and we are in need of a victory. If that happens I could see the Colts beating them as well.
As you can see, we have a long road ahead of us. It might be difficult but it's not impossible. Either way I like our chances of making the playoffs.
