Daily Haze: Best Fantasy Football Team Name Contest Ends Today!
Last call to vote for this year’s best fantasy football team name!
Most fantasy owners have real drafts scheduled now for the next two weeks, so I need to end this contest to get the draft kits out in time. We have received a healthy amount of votes after one of the best turn-outs we have ever had for a contest. So thanks for that!
In other news, remember to head over to The Hazean’s Facebook page to claim your $5 gift code for your next EA Sports game purchase. With the release of Madden 12 right around the corner, this should come in handy. I know I will be putting mine to use at the end of the month!
Here are today’s great reads:
- Having trouble deciding which player(s) to keep in your keeper league? This read is a good starting point for making your decision. [Fantasy Douche]
- If you are looking for a sleeper at wide receiver, consider Pittsburgh’s Emmanuel Sanders. He had a decent postseason last year and is emerging as a consistent threat for Ben Roethlisberger. Despite the assumption that Pittsburgh is a smash-mouth type team, Big Ben chucks the ball around a good bit. There are plenty of passes for Sanders, Hines Ward and Mike Wallace to catch this season. [RotoProfessor]
- For those taking stock in preseason football, Reggie Bush had a good debut with the Dolphins. He even executed a few runs up the middle! I guess that makes him a good runner between the tackles now. /sarcasm [Roto Arcade]
- Running back by committee is the standard in the NFL now. Fantasy owners just need to get used to it and start figuring out how to profit from it in leagues. [The Big Lead]
