NFL Predictions Week 1: 3 Teams Guaranteed to Start the Season with a Big Win
The NFL season begins this week, and since some teams are still trying to figure out their identity, there will be a few blowout games.
There are a few great match ups this weekend, but like every week, there are some that won't even be a game. The top teams in the league will prove this weekend why they are the best of the best, and the weaker teams will all suffer.
Here are three teams destined to start the season off with a big victory.
New England Patriots
Bill Belichick and the Patriots open the season on Monday night against division foe, the Miami Dolphins. Tom Brady will once again torch the Dolphins in route to a big victory.
Many are picking the Patriots to reach the Super Bowl this year, and with an easy opponent in Week 1 they will show everyone how good their offense truly is, which will build their hype up even more.
Kansas City Chiefs
The defending AFC West champs will host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, and despite a rib injury, quarterback Matt Cassel is expected to play. With more weapons around him this year, Cassel won't have any trouble lighting up the Bills.
You can't forget about the Chiefs run game, which was No. 1 in the NFL in 2010. Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones will run all over the Bills proving they are still the best one two punch in the league. The Bills are still in rebuild mode, and the Chiefs won't have a hard time at all on Sunday.
The new-look Cardinals begin their season by hosting the Carolina Panthers. Kevin Kolb was highly coveted by Arizona, and now it's time for him to prove he is worthy of a starting job in the NFL.
Kolb won't have any problems against the struggling Panthers, which will turn the focus to the run game. Arizona struggled to find success when running the ball last year, and with Tim Hightower gone, it's up to Beanie Wells to carry the load, and prove he isn't a bust.
The Panthers have a horrendous offense, and a weak defense, which means the Cardinals will control the game on all facets.
These three teams will easily win their season openers, and they'll hope their early success continues on for the rest of the season.
