Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay in Search of a New Quarterback
August 20, 2011
After last night's embarrassing showing against the Washington Redskins, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) has taken to Twitter to ask fans what the Colts should do about their quarterback situation.
We r evaluating the QB sitch,#18 healing but we got 2 b prepared 4 early season possibility without him, defense has 2 pick it up,big time!
Not taking Pryor...what VET QB would u vote 4 to sign that's out there? If sum1 has 2 hold the fort early season, who u going with?
Normally, you can't take Twitter quotes too seriously, but when a team owner is publicly questioning his backup quarterback situation, there is something to it.
This also gives weight to NFL Network's Michael Lombardi's report a week ago that Peyton Manning could miss up to a month.
I'm not sure if there are really any better options out there for the Colts right now, but it's obvious that the Colts owner is worried as the season starts.
