Greg Oden's first full game of his NBA career could not have gone better. For the first time since acquiring Oden, the franchised used him wisely. They brought him in off the bench, let him run the floor, block two shots, get to the free throw line, dunk, and grab a few boards. It was not a lot, but it was EXACTLY what Oden and the Portland Trail Blazers needed.
Meanwhile, Rudy Fernandez OWNED the state of Florida.
The Orlando team may be called Magic...but Rudy Fernandez is a BOOK OF SPELLS.
The Miami team may be called Heat...but Rudy Fernandez goes SURFING on the SUN.
Tonight's impressive win against a hungry Miami Heat team improved our record to 5-3. That's fantastic! And, it would NOT have been POSSIBLE without Rudy's fearless clutch performance.
Watching Rudy turn into an NBA player is like watching superhero go from masked vigilante to redeemed protector of the city.
Miami put up a good fight tonight but our young team was too powerful.
The Baby Blazers pack quite a punch.
Like the bad guy says at the end of every episode of Scooby Doo, "I'd have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you kids..."
Oh and Florida, please make sure Rudy's marble floor is polished...and see to it his windows get washed. We would not to ruin his view of your beautiful, beautiful, beach...

We're going to send you the most entertaining Portland Trail Blazers articles, videos, and podcasts from around the web.
