MLB: Worst Baseball Trades In The Last 15 Years. Top Two By Mariners
Ever seen a trade that made you incredibly mad? There are two trades that stand out far to big.
1. Mariners prospects Dereck Lowe and Jason Varitek to Red Sox for Heathcliff Slocumb
Jason Vartitek has had an incredible career, he has been the team captain, gone to several all-star games, and has caught the most no-hitters ever.
Dereck Lowe is a premier free-agent this season, in 2002 he had a 21 win season, he has played in the all-star game twice, and has been to the playoffs six times including a 2004 World Series Victory.
Heathcliff Slocumb went 0-4 after being traded, got a 4.13 era.
Even when the trade was made Slocumb was 0-5. Bad move by the Mariners.
2. Orioles prospects Adam Jones, George Sherril, Chris Tillman, Tony Butler, and Kam Mickolio for Eric Bedard
George Sherril got 31 saves, played in the All Star game.
Adam Jones batted in nine home runs, .271 ba in only 132 games.
Chris Tillman and others still are working there way up but this trade will get more worse the more you look at it.
