Eagles vs. Steelers: Keenan Lewis Will Add a Dimension to Steelers' Defense

Should Keenan Lewis become a starter he will dramatically alter the Steelers' defense.
Ryan Clark had an easy interception against the Philadelphia Eagles in the second quarter tonight. The most notable aspect of the play was that the Steelers put their cornerbacks in press coverage. This isn't something that happens very often on Dick Lebeau's defense.
Lewis athleticism and size allows him to match defenders much like Ike Taylor does. Vick immediately looked to Riley Cooper to go deep once he saw the corners pressed up to the receivers which allowed Ryan Clark to drift over the top and easily pluck the pass out of the air.
Lewis was in good coverage considering he knew he had safety help which forced Vick to lay the ball further down the field and directly into Clark's grasp. This is one play that wouldn't have happened had Bryant McFadden been on the field. He simply doesn't play that style of coverage.
