The Mariners need to trade Ichiro. He has no leadership, power, and he has too hefty of a paycheck for a team that lost 101 games last season.

If we trade him we can sign Adam Dunn, and have a few million to spare.

I'm guessing he would sign for 16-18 Million. That would be leadership, power, and another way to lure his former teammates Ken Griffey Jr. or Jerry Hairston Jr.

If we release Raul Ibanez, we can sign Griffey and Hairston Jr. Then trade Yuniesky Betancourt to the Royals for Billy Butler who has already been replaced by Mike Jacobs.

The next trade could be a trade of Jarrod Wells, and Roy Corcocan for Jarrod Saltalamacchia. That would be a great trade for both teams.

Trade Jarod Washburn to Yankees for prodpect(s).

Then Kenji Johjima to Reds for Cash.

The team would then look like this.

c. Jarrod Saltalamacchia

1b. Billy Butler

2b. Jose Lopez

ss. Jerry Hairston Jr.

3b. Adrian Beltre

of. Adam Dunn

of. Jeremy Reed/ Mike Wilson

of. Wladimir Balentein/ Mike Morse

of. Ken Griffey Jr.

The dh would be one of the outfielders.

Jerry Hairston Jr. can also play in the outfield whitch would mean Carlos Triunfel can get get a few games in 2009.

sp. Felix Hernandez

sp. Brandon Morrow

sp. Eric Bedard

sp. Ryan Rowland- Smith

sp. Ryan Feirberend

Move Carlos Silva to Bullpen.

    OR....

As I said about a month ago, trade Ichiro to the Cubs for Derrek Lee & Kosuke Fukudome. Money breaks almost dead even on the deal, the Mariners get back a stud first baseman and a name/face they can market to Asia in Ichiro's stead.

I am agree with Adam Dunn deal but 1B is better. But I can't understand that still Jeremy Reed/Mike Wilson is on your list without Ichiro. M's not gonna trade Ichiro for sure.

Your trades need a little work, but I definitely agree wth you that Ichiro needs to go from the Mariners. He epitomizes it's all about me it doesn't matter how well the team play as long as I get my stats then I'm happy. Who cares if there's a language barrier I won't try to be a leader on this team. I just want my 200 hits and .300 plus batting average. He definitely needs to be gone.
