Fans are not patient in the Premier League. Given the way fans have turned on Arsene Wenger, it seems he may be forced out of his current position if Arsenal is not able to salvage a win amongst all of the disarray.

Cesc Fabregas left for Barcelona, Samir Nasri is headed for Manchester City and Wenger seems content with sitting on his hands and waiting for his talent to develop. His lack of initiative to find replacements has fans on edge and in a state of confusion.

If Wenger is in fact concerned with being nothing more than a talent farm for the rest of the world, how does it make sense to invest everything in home-grown talent.

There is no denying Wenger's ability to develop young talent. That being said, that means absolutely nothing when players in their prime elect to skip town.

It's difficult to be a losing coach for Arsenal, especially when controversial decisions are being made. There are many people, including former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein who believe Wenger's days could be numbered.

Coaching Arsenal to a loss against Liverpool would likely be a nail in the coffin. Wenger can plead with fans to trust his judgement and insist that he isn't going anywhere, but fans are just looking for results.

If he isn't going to be proactive in finding some talent to replace Fabregas and Nasri, most fans are looking for someone who is. Losing to Liverpool would only increase the hostility fans are feeling for Wenger.
