The Final Four Champs, K.U. now 5-0, round out their preseason with an impressive victory over Emporia State University.  They are now headed to their first regular season game on Sunday against UMKC in Lawrence.  Their fifth victory of the year was headed by Sherron Collins with 22 points and Cole Aldrich with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  The Jayhawks shot an amazing 80% field goal percentage the first half!  Others helping in this victory were: Brady Morningstar, Tyrel Reed, Marcus Morris and Travis Releford.

Bill Self wanted to emphasize defense and his players delivered and then their offense fell into line as well. Each and every one of  KU's players scored points in this game!

Congratulations also goes out to Lou Perkins, who received Time Magazines 2008 Top Sports Executive of the Year award.  If anyone doesn't know, Lou Perkins is KU's esteemed Athletic Director.

All in all a very good effort by the Jayhawks  this evening at Lawrence, Kansas!
