It's so nice when you get to see proper wrestling at a pay-per-view. No gimmicks, no interference, just a proper, fierce, brutal match.
After so much time being shoved down the mid-card, Daniel Bryan is finally getting a push. Admittedly the Internet Wrestling Community are already fretting that he will be the first Money in the Bank briefcase winner to cash it in and lose, but even if he does lose, he'll have been in the main event at WrestleMania, and that's pretty good by anyone's standards.
Wade Barrett's win surprised me a little, it has to be said, but he's been woefully underused in recent weeks—this may be a new springboard into a main-event level feud. It's certainly time to mix things up on SmackDown.
Or, even better, this may be a stage in an ongoing Bryan vs. Barrett feud. If they can create more of an angle around it, so much the better. The return of Barrett's FCW-era long jacket may be a sign that his gangster-esque character is also making a comeback—and as for Bryan's full beard, that must also be part of a story. Mustn't it?
The fact that this match made it on to the PPV at all is a good sign for both men, to be honest—expect great things from them both in the months to come.
