WWE SummerSlam Live Streaming: Will Triple H, Alberto Del Rio Interfere Tonight?
There’s plenty of buzz surrounding tonight’s pay per view main-event match between CM Punk and John Cena—each of whom are claiming that he is the rightful WWE Champion. But interestingly, a lot of that buzz is surrounding the other figures in WWE who could play major roles in this winner-take-all match.
According to WWE.com:
To ensure that this bout is called down the middle and that there is no outside interference, WWE’s Chief Operating Officer Triple H will serve as special guest referee to personally crown the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion Under the watchful eye of The Cerebral Assassin, there will be no doubt who deserves to be the sole holder of the coveted title this Sunday in Los Angeles.
Great, I’m sure that Triple H has no vested interest in who walks away the champ.
Or does he?
Might Triple H be aiming to create order in his new regime by sending the anti-establishment CM Punk packing without a title? Or might Mr. Hunter Hearst Helmsley realize that Punk is the best thing for his WWE brand, and therefore help him take down the seemingly physically dominant Cena all in the name of the company?
Anyway, there’s also plenty of speculation that another wrestler could sneak into the fray and play a major role in tonight’s main event: Alberto Del Rio.
After emerging victorious with the Raw Money in the Bank briefcase at WWE’s Money in the Bank event several weeks ago in Rosemont, Ill., the Mexican master is free to use that briefcase to cash in a contract for a match for one of the WWE’s world titles.
Per Wikipedia, “The contract is valid for one year, and the briefcase holder…can appear on any program and cash in the contract at the date, place, and time of their choosing.”
Could that chance for Del Rio come tonight against the winner of the CM Punk-John Cena match? Only time will tell.
