For the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-0), the first step on the road to reclaiming their AFC crown and avenging their Super Bowl loss from last season comes against the Washington Redskins (0-0).

Mike Tomlin already said during his press conference that the team's starters would play 10 snaps or less tonight. This is not a surprise because the Steelers are a veteran team that is settled in most positions. There is a lot to watch, however, as some positions could be claimed with strong performances from the team's younger players.

The offensive line is always a point of contention in Pittsburgh, and tonight is no exception. A competition at right guard is already underway between Chris Scott and Ramon Foster, with Doug Legursky having an outside chance. Jonathan Scott will likely be the team's starting left tackle, but a huge preseason from Marcus Gilbert could tempt Tomlin to trust another rookie in a vital spot—a la Maurkice Pouncey last year.

The Washington Redskins are in a completely different position. Therefore, we should see a lot more of their starters tonight. The biggest issue, obviously, is who will be the team's starting quarterback as Rex Grossman and John Beck battle it out. However, don't completely rule out Kellen Clemons, who is a talented signal caller in his own right.

How the team's revamped receiving corp will look is also huge on the offensive side of the ball. And there are a number of new additions to the defense that will be worth watching—like rookie Ryan Kerrigan, Josh Wilson and Barry Cofield.

Be sure to stick with me here tonight as I cover the game live, as well as talk about some of the issues facing both teams before the big kickoff!
