Winners are not made in February. Those that make a claim at the Super Bowl do so with arguments they make months before in the preseason. It is time for opening arguments. It is time to play some football, and the honest analysis you crave is here.

From all corners of the nation, they are clamoring to their TV sets and radio dials. There is football to be played, and it is a tiny miracle that we are all going to savor.

The NFL lockout gave us an altered NFL landscape. The usual monotony of summer was given a flashy and manic preseason. There is no time to make mistakes.

Those borderline players that are hoping beyond hope to make a statement, need to do so immediately. The usually tight slack that is given to prospects is even tighter this year.

I can't wait to break down each and every rookie that is looking for the dwindling amount of spots on these teams. Preseason games are up first, and they are the hardest-hitting job interviews in the world.

It is a razor-thin line between making an NFL team, and bagging groceries in a week. We have all the subplots hitting your favorite NFL hopefuls.

There are of course the teams as a whole. Each team tells its own great tale. The Jacksonville Jaguars have a quarterback duel that is about to get some heat added to it. Blaine Gabbert will take a hefty amount of snaps, and his future will be measured on each one.

We can't forget about the Patriots. Bill Belichick took the dice out and gambled on players like Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco this summer. The results will be available shortly.

All of this and more is coming in this NFL Preseason breakdown. If you want brutal honesty with your analysis, you have come to the right place.
