WWE SummerSlam 2011: Predicting the Winners of SummerSlam

0 of 7

Even though there are few matches announced for the pay-per-view, that doesn't mean I can't make a quick slideshow with my predictions!

I've said I thought this PPV would be the PPV of the year, and I still believe it.

The matches are there, and there is no doubt that more matches will be added to fill the time.

However, since there are only four matches on the card, those are the ones I will predict.

I will also predict any other matches I am more than certain will be on the card that night.

With that said, let us get started on this slideshow!

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry

1 of 7

Henry has had a great thing going for him.

He has been dominating, and they have been playing that off with perfection.

He even killed a sound guy. I thought that was hilarious and entertaining with the way he threw him. I still laugh just thinking about it.

WWE has done something right in giving him this push, because he should be dominating like this.

    Here comes Sheamus.

It seemed like they did not have anything for him since he lost his MITB match, which many people thought either he or Barret would win.

Pitting him against Henry is a great way to keep him in action.

It shows off his character, his persona and his personality. He is not afraid of anyone or anything in the WWE and will take on anything put in his way.

With this angle, it appears he is also turning face to the fans, which is something a lot of people are enjoying.

These guys are great to put together in a match because their personalities and characters are great to combat against each other.

Verdict: I say Henry will pick up the victory.

This match will go on for a good 10-15 minutes, and the two will put on a great show.

They both will look strong, and something tells me this will only build further to the next PPV.

Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix

2 of 7

I will tell everyone the truth.

I do not want to see this match. I do not.

Unless it has Kelly Kelly getting the crap beaten out of her for a majority of it, this match is of no interest to me.

However, I still must predict it and that I shall!

Kelly Kelly has been the champ because people think she looks lovely—not for her wrestling skills.

She has no skills in the ring, and her matches have never lasted long. She is the lovable Diva that people dream of looking at and doing—yea.

    Here is Beth though.

She is sick and tired of the Divas division being a joke, and she is going to change that by taking the title from her this Sunday.

    I happily agree with that.

This match will go maybe five to seven minutes with some action back and forth.

    Verdict: Kelly Kelly wins.

There is no way they are going to take the belt off her this early.

She is sort of the John Cena of the Divas. She sells, and as long as she is over with the fans she will hold the belt.

Alex Riley vs. Dolph Ziggler United States Title

3 of 7

I am more than certain that this will take place at the PPV.

WWE has been talking about this for the past couple of weeks, and a match at SummerSlam will be a very easy way to settle it.

There is not too much I can say about this, because the buildup has only been going on for the past couple of weeks.

From what has happened as of now, it appears Riley has said he can beat him and that if he was a real man he would drop Vicky.

In fact, Austin said that a long while back on the All-Star Raw edition.

They have played to that this past week on Raw when Vicky walked right into the ring and and got Dolph disqualified. Maybe this is potential foreshadowing for the PPV.

Verdict: Dolph will win this match.

This match will go for about 10 minutes. Riley still needs to work on his in-ring ability and I think Vicky will be involved somehow, with her not screwing up Dolph this time.

It will be a great match, and it is something I will look forward to.

Wade Barret vs. Daniel Bryan

4 of 7

On Smackdown, this has been played up to and is another match I am more than certain will be done at the PPV.

Barret feels that Bryan is not a threat to him and that he should be the one with the briefcase.

Bryan has taken exception to this and confronts Wade.

They get into a scuffle, with Bryan taking the advantage.

Not too much after that. I mean, this is a story line that is supposed to have some purpose, right?

So, why not have this match at SummerSlam?

They both are great in the ring, and they both know how to put on a show.

There will no exception to that in this match.

Verdict: Daniel Bryan will take this one in another 10-minute match.

WWE is trying to have Bryan as a huge, credible threat in the future. A win here will definitely make people notice him more so than they do now.

I love Wade and I pray WWE will find something good for him after this.

Randy Orton vs. Christian WWE HeavyWeight Title, No Holds Barred

5 of 7

    Time for the main events!

This match has been building up for months now.

Everyone knows what has been happening between these two and why the rules have to be this way.

Christian wants to prove once and for all he can beat Orton on his own. Randy just wants revenge and to beat the living hell out of Christian for that match at MITB.

There are no DQs, no count outs, no exceptions and nowhere to run and hide.

This match will be long, hard-fought and possibly bloody—if WWE chooses to go in that direction. The way WWE has behaved lately, that might very well happen.

    Verdict: Christian will win.

He has to in order to be a real credible champion.

He can go on and claim that he beat Orton at his own game and he has nothing left to prove to him.

But we all know they will meet again at Night Of Champions next month.

John Cena vs. CM Punk WWE Title, Special Ref Triple H

6 of 7

Should I bother building up this match?

Anyone who has paid any attention to wrestling at all lately knows what is up with these two.

This has been the best story line in WWE for years, and they have not disappointed us at all.

The idea of inputting reality into the equation has worked to perfection, and it has kept us on the edge of our seats.

WWE knows that this is the true main event and that they needed to build it as much as they could. While this may have caused the match card to be messed up, it will be worth it for these two.

With Triple H as the ref it will ensure—at least it is supposed to—that no one will interfere in the match or pull any dirty tricks.

There will be one undisputed champion.

    Verdict: PUNK WILL WIN!

I have said this before. Like Cena has pointed out, he has to win this match, because if he does not he will known has a one-hit wonder.

Putting the title on Cena will not do much for WWE, and keeping it on Punk will continue the momentum WWE has created.

I think Cena will hit Triple H by accident at some point in the match, and when he sets Punk up for the AA, Triple H will hit him with his pedigree.

I just hope and prey WWE will not have Alberto cash in because it would destroy this story line.

I know Miz said he will do something unforgettable at SummerSlam, but since I have no idea what it is, I will play it safe and not comment on it.

We will just have to wait and see what he has in store for us.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this article!
