We're taught to fear giants, not love them, but that hasn't stopped these WAGs from cuddling up with their respective behemoth.

To be fair, a good deal of athletes are humongous compared to the general population, much less their significant other, so such a height disparity is common.

So let's all laugh, point and stare in awe at 15 giants of the sports world and their better halves...

15. Tim Tebow and Hot Chick

How Tim Tebow—who is saving himself for marriage—manages to stay a virgin is beyond me, especially when he's hanging around beautiful women all the time.

His will power is off the charts!

Tim Tebow is just 6'3'', but he's so thick he makes any woman he stands next to look tiny.

Yeah, I said it. What?

14. Marco Jaric and Adriana Lima

I hate to even acknowledge Marco Jaric's existence, but since it gives me a reason to feature a picture of his super hot wife, Adriana Lima, I'll happily bite the bullet.

Christ, look at him! Maybe his personality is awesome, or he can juggle or something.

Marco stands at 6'7'', which is nine inches taller than the super hot Lima, who is 5'10''.

13. Dwight Howard and "Acting Coach"

Dwight-howard-acting-classes_display_image

Dwight Howard had a cameo in the 2010 movie, "Valentine's Day," so to get ready, he worked with an acting coach to get his acting skills up to par.

Now, she might not be his girlfriend, but considering his acting is terrible, who knows what they did during those "lessons."

In any case, the 6'11'' NBA center makes a lot of women look tiny, as is evidenced here with a woman whose face barely reaches his stomach.

12. Amar'e Stoudemire and Ciara

Amar'e Stoudemire is seen here with girlfriend and R&B singer Ciara, who he's been dating for a few months.

The 6'10'' center/power forward towers over the 5'9'' Ciara, making for a height difference of 13 inches.

11. Dirk Nowitzki and Jessica Olsson

Recently crowned champion and finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki is seen here looking classy with his girlfriend Jessica Olsson.

Jessica only looks to be about a foot shorter than Dirk, which would actually make her pretty tall considering Dirk is a seven-footer.

10. Kevin Garnett and Brandi Padilla

Smooth operator Kevin Garnett is pictured here with his wife of six years Brandi Padilla.

Garnett is 6'11'', which would make him roughly 14 inches taller than his wife, who I estimate to be around 5'7''.

9. Kobe and Vanessa

I never thought of Kobe as being a particularly tall person, but when he's standing next to his wife Vanessa, it gives a bit of perspective.

Kobe is 6'6'', which is 13 inches taller than his wife, who is 5'5''.

8. Pau Gasol and Silvia Castro

Pau Gasol, who has the completely useless ability to morph into a llama at will, is seen here hand-in-hand with his cheerleader girlfriend Silvia Lopez Castro.

The seven-foot Lakers center has a good foot over Silvia, who is 5'11''.

7. Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy

England footballer Peter Crouch, who stands at 6'7'', is seen here with his wife Abbey Clancy.

Crouch is the tallest man to ever play for the England national team, and I'm sure it was his famed "Robocrouch" dance that sealed the deal with the 5'9'' Abbey.

6. Dikembe Mutombo and Rose

When Dikembe Mutimbo isn't wagging his finger at you, he's enjoying life with his wife Rose, who he's had six kids with.

The 7'2'' retired center stands 17 inches taller than his wife, who I've estimated to be roughly 5'9''.

5. Wladimir Klitschko and Hayden Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere is the definition of tiny, barely breaking the five-foot mark at 5'1''. And what's the best way to look even tinier? Date a heavyweight boxer.

Wladimir Klitschko is 6'6'' and 250 pounds, which makes for a 15-inch height difference and likely a 130-pound weight difference.

He reportedly carries her around in his sock.

4. Chris Bosh and Adrienne Williams

Clearly being the weakest link of the Heat's "Big Three," Bosh boosts his ego by standing next to his wife, Adrienne Nicole Williams, who is just five feet tall.

That makes Bosh, who is 6'10'', nearly two feet taller than her.

3. Shaq and Nikki Alexander

In all fairness, Shaq makes most people look tiny, especially since he's as thick as he is tall, but it doesn't help that the 7'1'', 325-pound diesel is dating Nicole Alexander, who is just 5'2'' and about 110 pounds.

That's three times her weight and a nearly two-foot height difference

2. Shawn Bradley and Wife

0575-2009nov13-sisbradleyjanetshawnbradley_display_image

Shawn Bradley is a retired NBA center—as if there was any other position he could play.

He is pictured here with his wife, who I estimate to be about 5'5''. That's a difference of 25 inches.

Standing at 7'6'', Bradley has stepped on his wife's head on numerous occasions, leading to multiple hospital visits and a perpetual state of fear on her part.

Probably.

1. Nikolai Valuev and Wife

Nikolai-valuev70_display_image

Ogre!

Nikolai Valuev, a professional boxer, is only 7'2''. I say "only" because, compared to his wife, who looks to be about 5'3'' or so, he looks at least 7'5''.

I'm not even going to try and figure out how this one works, if you know what I mean.
