Rex Grossman spoke with CSN Washington today and had some interesting things to about the Redskins future.

“We’re just waiting in the wings ready to take over the NFC East.  Nobody’s talking about us, it’s right where we wanna be.  You look at us from top to bottom out here, there’s a bunch of great players.   And we don’t need people saying we’re the best right now.  But when it’s all said and done, I really feel like this team’s gonna win the [NFC] East.”

Twitter has been a buzz with Grossman's enthusiasm, however I expect nothing less from the starting quarterback of a team, and yes he will be your week one starter.

Regardless of a team's projection (by the way the four letter network has the Redskins at 29) I want every player on that team to be as delusional as the most die-hard fan.

Why would you play the game unless you thought you could win it all.

Will the Redskins win the NFC East, probably not, but the players at least need to believe that they can, and if asked they need to say so.

Honestly who wants to hear from their team that they expect to suck during the upcoming season.

In the end we'll have to see how the Redskins finish, but until the season actually starts I hope the team continues to have high expectations for themselves.
