The Twins and Mets have agreed to a trade that would bring Johan Santana to New York.

This is a huge trade for the Mets, as they have definetely become one of the favorites in the National League.

The deal is not complete yet, so Mets fans, don't get too excited.  The deal included Carlos Gomez, Phil Humber, Deolis Guerra and Kevin Mulvey.

The Mets have a time table to negotiate a contract extension.  The Mets should be ready to empty their pockets because Santana may ask for up to $150 million.  The Mets will probably have about 72 hours to get the contract extension completed.

Mets fans should not be too worried about this contract extension because the Mets have already given up too much to come back.  In my opinion, the Mets will soon have Johan Santana, the only question is, was it a good trade?
