The New England Patriots have already made quite a splash this offseason, acquiring defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and wide receiver Chad Ochocinco.
Though the moves are odd for a team like the Pats, they are both low-risk, high-reward options.
Head coach/general manager Bill Belichick has proven time and time again that he knows what he's doing.
The new-look Patriots will once again be the team to beat in the AFC East after revamping a lineup that had some struggles (especially defensively) in 2010.
Haynesworth, Ellis and Carter will shore up a defensive line that struggled to get to the quarterback last season.
And the Pats might not be done signing players, either. The secondary needs some help, so it'll be interesting to see if they go after a guy like Dashon Goldson.
Either way, the Patriots will be back in the playoffs in 2011 and will have a good shot of making it to the Super Bowl.
