Arsenal takes on Benfica in a high-profile preseason friendly with the start of the 2011-2012 season just two weeks away.
The match takes place at the Estadio da Luz and kicks off at 7:45 p.m. GMT.
This will be the last tuneup match before the Gunners head to Newcastle for their season opener and it hasn't been a particularly successful or thrilling preseason so far for Arsene Wenger's side.
On the pitch, Arsenal has won just twice and drawn three times and Gunner fans have yet to see their star and captain Cesc Fabregas lace up his boots. That won't be changing today.
Off the pitch, Gunners fans have had to endure rumors all summer that midfielder Samir Nasri is headed to either Manchester United or Manchester City, and of course, Barcelona's courtship of Fabregas likely won't ever end, even if he ever does make the switch.
Wenger's big new signing of the summer, former Lille striker Gervinho, has had an impressive preseason, scoring twice in his debut against FC Koln.
Benfica, meanwhile, presents the toughest test and certainly the rowdiest atmosphere yet.
The runners-up in the Portuguese league last season have already gotten their season underway taking on Turkish side Trabzonspor in the Champions League, defeating them over two legs with relative ease.
It's been a trying year for Arsenal supporters so far and though a friendly loss doesn't really mean much, a win can make all the difference in the world.
Especially given the fact that Arsenal faces a tough start to the season, ending preseason on a high note could give the players and fans a boost heading into that tough stretch.
It doesn't seem highly likely though, with Arsenal's most influential players missing out and some of them looking closer and closer to an exit.
