EPL Transfer News: Samir Nasri Close to Signing for Manchester City (updated)

True BlueCorrespondent IAugust 6, 2011

There are more and more reports that seem to suggest Samir Nasri has played his last game for Arsenal and could be on his way to Manchester City.

It is hardly a state secret that City has offered the unsettled midfielder a route out of The Emirates but it is not yet clear if an official bid has been made.

Speculation in all of the major newspapers suggests that a formal bid in the region of £19m will mean that Nasri will be plying his trade at The Etihad Stadium very soon.

Some reports are also suggesting that Nasri has fallen out with manager Arsene Wenger, and that he has refused point blank to pull on a Gunners shirt again.

Monday 8th August Update

Reports in the French media since repeated in some of the UK press are claiming that Nasri has agreed personal terms with MAnchester City, this means that a fee with Arsenal has surely also been sorted out.

Early today L'equipe was quoting unnamed sources confirming that Nasri will sign for City by the end of Tuesday.
