NHL All-All Star Game: East Prevails 8-7
Unfortunately, I had to turn down tickets to the Skills Competition for the NHL's All-Star Weekend here in Atlanta this weekend. That's a shame, because the majority of folks I've heard seem to have really enjoyed it. However, I plopped myself down on my couch and watched an entertaining All-Star game last night. Former Thrasher Marc Savard scored the game-winner with about 20 seconds left to win it for the East. My take on how our host city did? The crowd seemed extremely energetic during the game last night, and chanted Ilya's name during the final minute, hoping he could provide the winning goal. Philips Arena is a great facility to begin with, so I think overall Atlanta acquitted itself pretty well to the rest of the NHL. Now if we can just get the team back on the ball.
Here's to a strong second half of the season!
