Baltimore Orioles Deny Reports of Erik Bedard Deal

Johnny SheaCorrespondent IMarch 20, 2017

As the rumors around Erik Bedard steadily increase, the Orioles continue to deny the immanence of a deal with the Mariners.

According to MLB.com, Andy Macphail, Baltimore's President of Operations, stated once again on Monday afternoon that there is no trade in place and he has no idea where the rumors originated in the first place.

Adam Jones, Seattle's Minor League Player of the Year, supposedly began these rumors. He reportedly told the Seattle Times that he was "going to Baltimore to handle things there."

Baltimore does not expect any trade in the near future. The Mariners are searching for pitching on multiple fronts, not only for Bedard.

I expect to see Erik in orange for at least a few more weeks. These rumors are much too premature.
