It was a really entertaining week for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Of course it all started with the 5-2, amazing, comeback victory on Saturday, when they hosted the New York Rangers. However, the Maple Leafs have now dropped three straight. They lost both games in the home-and-home series with Carolina, and then last night in Boston. On Saturday they will host the Montreal Canadiens.

John Mitchell

On Saturday, John Mitchell scored the first two goals in his NHL career, and almost got a third. The first one began the comeback. Jason Blake then scored his 2nd to tie it, and Pavel Kubinathen gave them a 3-2 lead, late in the 3rd. The night continued on as Mitchell scored his second, and then it was Dominic Moore to cap it all off, with his 3rd of the season.

Mitchell's dad was embarrassed after the game because he never got to see it. He was hunting.

Leafs to trade?

Cliff Fletcher has admitted that he has been trying to move one of his defense men, and although Ian White has not said that he wants a trade, he has stated that he wants to play hockey, something that he has done just three times this season. Fletcher said to the National Post that he has been in discussions with other teams. He also said that there has been no discussions with Don Waddell (Atlanta) about Ilya Kovalchuk.
