Fans in Miami are already thinking about Plan B at the point guard position, just in case the Knicks don't waive Marbury. Many feel that rookie Mario Chalmers isn’t ready yet to be the full-time point guard, and the Heat are waiting to pull the trigger to acquire veteran Jamaal Tinsley or the Nuggets Chucky Atkins. Stay tuned.

We should finally see the debut of Allen Iverson and Chauncey Billups tonight in their new homes. Iverson and the unbeaten Pistons travel to New Jersey tonight, while the Nuggets are home to Dallas.

In an update of the daily soap opera that is the New York Knicks and Stephon Marbury, the NY Post is reporting that Knicks management veto’d a request by Marbury to practice at his high school alma-mater, Lincoln High in Brooklyn.

Marbury, who said he wanted to play at Lincoln on his own personal time to stay in game shape, and ready for potential trade suitors, will have only the Knicks scrimmages in practice to play.

The only problem with that is Marbury decided a while ago to not participate in the team scrimmages, because he could injure himself and possibly lose money down the road.

Speaking of down the road, the next time we see Knicks rookie Danilo Gallinari in meaningful playing time will be down the same road. Coach Mike D’Antoni wasn’t impressed with early returns from the Italian forward, and is trying to get Knicks management to send him to the D League, which starts up next week.
