Orlando Magic: Magic Powered By New Backcourt Tandem

With the words tatted on his back "ALL EYES ON ME," You could tell that this evening was going to be a great pickup game for the Magic and their newly energized PG. The guards in the backcourt including Jameer Nelson and Mickael Pietrus started strong and finished LONG hitting 11 of 19 shots. Jameer played what was his best game of the season though with 16 points on 6 of 12 shooting and a 3 pointer with 9 assists, 4 rebounds, as well as 2 steals for the newly aggressive PG. He hooked up with Mickael Pietrus in the middle of the 3rd on an emphatic dunk that set the crowd off and Nelson himself had numerous plays that either split the Philly defense or just made them look down-right silly that he was in. Mickael Pietrus finished with 12 points, 4 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 1 Steal, and a block late in the 4th that rallied the voice of the crowd. This is the new face of the franchise alongside Jameer, his name is Mickael Pietrus aka "The Flying Frenchman". These 2 have combined for 83 total points of the Magic's last 315 Points on a 3 game win streak. While that may only be 26%, their rejuvenation of the Magical backcourt play from last season is starting to show and we'll see if they can keep it up against the Wizards on Saturday evening. Go Magic!
