The No. 1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft has reached an agreement with the Carolina Panthers. Cam Newton will join camp $22 million richer. The QB has signed for four years, and all $22 million guaranteed.

Cam, with this new contract, will be able to report to camp. His contract also allows for a fifth year option worth $14 million.

Cam's signing will come at the end of a very busy and crazy week for Carolina. The Panthers have been making strides in the right direction.

The Panthers earlier in the week inked HB DeAngelo Williams for five years worth $43 million, and ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that WR Steve Smith, along with Williams, want to stick around Carolina for awhile.

With three playoff-caliber teams in the division, the Carolina Panthers would like to give everyone a run for their money.
