According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Pittsburgh Steelers have cut veteran offensive tackle Flozell Adams.
Adams was due to make $5 million this season and had been rumored to be cut for a while now.
With Max Starks being cut yesterday, the Steelers have now released both tackles that started in Week 1 of last season.
It is believed that Adams would retire if he was not promised a starting job.
The Steelers are expected to bring back either Adams or Starks at a reduced salary.
Edit: According to ESPN.com, Adams was unwilling to restructure his contract or take a pay cut.
