Travis Pastrana Injury: Watch X Games Star Break His Ankle in Moto X Best Trick
Travis Pastrana Injury Puts NASCAR Debut on Hold
Travis Pastrana was looking forward to the biggest weekend of his where he would bounce back and forth between the X Games and the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Pastrana was looking to land a 720 Toilet Paper Roll, which resembles a flipping 720-degree spin. The trick is seemingly impossibly to land, as Pastrana failed to land the trick twice.
On the way to the hospital, Pastrana posted this message on his Twitter,
I'm on my way to the hospital for x rays, something with my foot, Ill keep everyone posted.. Might be driving with my hands on Saturday
Unfortunately for Pastrana, it appears that he broke both his ankle and his foot and will certainly be unable to race in the Nationwide event this weekend and will miss the remainder of the X Games.
The blow is a crushing one for Pastrana, who was on the verge of fulfilling a lifelong goal of racing in a NASCAR event. He will instead be forced to watch the event and will have to put his stock car career on hold while he recovers from this injury.
Pastrana had been working on this trick for nearly a year and was very close to landing it, unfortunately, he was unable to do so in the spotlight.
