Big Headaches Come in Small Packages!
This weekend as the Buffalo Bills settle in for the third division rival in as many weeks with a noticeable limp it could get worse.
The holes in the defensive secondary and lack of pass rush have created many short gain opportunities for opposing teams. This week it only gets worse as New England Patriots and Wes Welker gear up to try and separate themselves from the Jets and the Bills.
Welker has only one touchdown this season but has 503 yards receiving. The "Welker Route" is commonly run underneath coverage. Nobody runs underneath a defense better than this receiver. His speed mixed with a double coverage respect for Moss means big plays for the 5-9 speed demon. It seems that no what team the Patriots are playing the short pass is the canvas on which Welker has painted many a masterpiece.
This as many Bills fans know is the turf that is been exploited at will by many opposing offenses the Bills faced this season, especially the past few weeks. Unless the Bills figure out how to shut this down it could be a long day for the defensive unit.
