Prepstar.com and PrepStar Magazine’s top running back prospect for the Class of 2012 has everything you could ever ask for in an elite RB for the next level. Jonathan Gray (5'11", 190) from Aledo (TX) simply does it all!

The only question about Gray is the amount of time he will stay in Austin. Gray, who committed to the Longhorns earlier this year, is a sure fire NFL prospect.

Do not be surprised if Gray leaves as soon as he's eligible for the National Football League.

As a junior, Gray rushed for over 3,000 yards and scored an amazing 59 TD’s on the year, leading his team to the state championship, where he reached the Dallas Cowboy Stadium end zone a record eight times in their title game.

His combination of speed and explosion through the hole are what really sets him apart from the rest.  Jonathan has a great stutter step, where he can change direction on a dime and sets up his blockers as well as any recruit in the last 40 years.

Gray is also a gifted receiver who can kill you with quick screens out of the backfield.  Don’t let the speedster fool you either.  He can use his speed to blow by defenders or lower the shoulder and use his tremendous lower body strength to plow through the defense.

He can go inside or outside equally as well, and he's a true North-South runner. Once he gets his shoulders up field, he makes a beeline toward the end zone.

Gray decided to end the recruiting game early, making Longhorn fans very happy when he gave his commitment to Mack Brown back in April of this year.  He was also considering Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and USC.

Enjoy him while he's there, Longhorn fans!
