WWE: Will the Anonymous GM Be Written off Television Without Being Revealed?
Last week's Raw saw something that we have not seen in a long time: a night without a single chime from the annoying Laptop that has been parked next to the announce table for far too long.
The storyline was originally hated by almost everyone, but eventually we grew familiar with the computer spitting out commands, and we saw Michael Cole become a massively hated heel in the process.
I, for one, have never once liked the storyline of the anonymous GM and I have felt that it should have played out after two months, but we still have this supposed person pulling all the strings behind the scenes, but now a new regime is at hand.
Triple H is now the new authority figure for the WWE, and with him possibly taking a larger on-screen role we could see the demise of the computer boss.
I just hope the WWE does not throw away a storyline they have used for over a year without using it to get someone over. Putting anyone in the position of having been the GM for over a year would make them gain instant heat due to all of the GM's poor decision making.
The other funny thing is how the person on the other end of the e-mails seems to always change sides. Sometimes it seems as if they are out to get John Cena, and other times are very fair towards him.
Whatever ends up happening, whether the computer goes away or stays for a bit longer, I think WWE needs to pick someone who can take the storyline and use it to get themselves over.
Several people have been considered to be the GM from Stone Cold to Mick Foley to The Rock to Vince McMahon himself to Triple H, and even Mike Adamle's name was thrown in there for a while.
I just hope to see the storyline end soon, not without some resolution, but as a WWE fan I know things will not always work out that way.
