Nnamdi Asomugha: 5 Players the Free Agent CB Could Improve If Signed
Nnamdi Asomugha sweepstakes could be over anytime now as NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reports that he believes Asomugha will be signed by the end of the day.
As of right now, the New York Jets have been reported to be the clear-cut front-runners in the sweepstakes, but there are several other teams that are still in the mix: Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys.
If Asomugha is signed by any of those teams, here are five players that he'd suddenly improve with his presence alone.

Darrelle Revis
1 of 5Believe it or not, Darrelle Revis can get better—that's a scary thought, isn't it?
If Nnamdi Asomugha does join the New York Jets, then Revis and him will create the league's top cornerback duo and will have the opportunity to dominate several teams' passing attacks.
Reggie Smith
2 of 5Reggie Smith of the San Francisco 49ers is currently slotted in as the team's starting strong safety.
Smith, who's turning 25 in September would certainly improve his production immediately.
Not only will Smith have a better time in coverage with Asomugha back there, but he'd be able to rack up more tackles stopping the run, as teams may feel inclined to run rather than throw towards Asomugha.
Glover Quin
3 of 5Glover Quin is a young cornerback for the Houston Texans that would have a much easier time playing alongside Nnamdi Asomugha.
Quin, who is entering his third year in the league, will likely be a part of a rather strong pass defense with the potential addition of Asomugha.
Asomugha and Quinn would create two of the league's better cornerback duos.
Terence Newman
4 of 5Cornerback Terence Newman has always been a quality defender for the Dallas Cowboys, but the 32-year-old could get much better with the addition of Asomugha.
Last season Newman snagged a career high five interceptions and proved to the league that he's got a real nose for the ball. Assuming if Asomugha does join the Cowboys, then teams would likely throw away from Asomugha and towards Newman, which could generate more turnovers in Dallas' favor.
Kareem Jackson
5 of 5Kareem Jackson will be entering his second year in the NFL with the Houston Texans and would benefit tremendously with the presence of Nnamdi Asomugha.
The Texans ranked dead last last year in the NFL for passing defense and could certainly turn it around with the combo of Jackson and Asomugha.
Jackson is a very young and talented player with loads of potential and could gain some much needed advice from the veteran Asomugha.
