Mesut Ozil Is Confident Real Madrid Will Defeat FC Barcelona Next Season

According to an article in Sky Sports, Mesut Ozil expressed confidence that Real Madrid has a great possibility of defeating FC Barcelona in the 2011-12 La Liga Season. Ozil said Real Madrid is "more stronger and mature that the previous year."

Ozil made his declarations as Real Madrid returned from an exhibition tour in the United States. During the US Tour, Real Madrid defeated the LA Galaxy, Chivas of Guadalajara and the Philadelphia Union.

The Philadelphia Union may have lost to Real Madrid but were able to muster some resistance. The results of the match was Real Madrid winning with two points compared with the one point from Philly.

Real Madrid will play another friendly match against Hertha Berlin in Germany on July 27. The two giants of La Liga are expected to face each other for the beginning of the 2011-12 La Liga season next month.

Ozil refused to make further statements and closed his comments expressing hope of recovery for any injured players. Ozil also praised Kaka, Sahin and Khedira for their efforts in Real Madrid.

The online site for Real Madrid reported (in other news) about the naturalization of Marcelo as a Spanish citizen. Marcelo expressed his gratitude and declared that this was "the best day of my life."

It remains to be seen what will happen when the two giants of La Liga meet on August 2011.
