For the most part in sports movies, an attractive woman has played a significant role in the plot.
Now, whether the movie is actually legit or not is somewhat irrelevant in this case.
If it's good, well, then having some eye candy makes it that much better (plus it helps when she's a really good actress).
And if it's terrible, well, the woman has the power to make watching the movie bearable.
All this said, here are 24 of the hottest women from baseball movies that kept you watching (regardless of how solid the movie itself was).
Enjoy.
Rebecca Flannery: Major League II (Played by Alison Doody)
Despite Major League II being a down-grade from Major League, it's not the worst sequel in the world.
Add in Alison Doody as Rebecca Flannery, and don't look away.
Not to mention she looks even hotter now than before.
Wendy Peffercorn: The Sandlot (Played by Marley Shelton)
If you grew up playing sandlot baseball, and then watched The Sandlot, Wendy Peffercorn immediately became your crush.
Marley Shelton has had some success since, but nothing comes to the level of everyone's favorite lifeguard.
Tenley Parrish: Summer Catch (Played by Jessica Biel)
Any movie that Freddy Prince Jr. has done hasn't really garnered him any accolades.
That being said, Jessica Biel makes watching Summer Catch worth it, as she plays the love interest, Tenley Parrish.
Jane Aubrey: For the Love of the Game (Played by Kelly Preston)
Definitely a solid baseball movie, but then again, what baseball movie with Kevin Costsner isn't solid?
Anyway, having a love interest in Kelly Preston as Jane Aubrey definitely helped the drama.
Mae Mordabito: A League of Their Own (Played by Madonna)
The first of three from A League of Their Own to make the list, Madonna was an obvious choice.
Lest we forget, Madonna was only 34 when she played Mae Mordabito.
She has a tough attitude in the movie, and it only makes her character that much sexier.
Dottie Hinson: A League of Their Own (Played by Geena Davis)
Let's face it, you're not going to find a more attractive catcher behind the plate than Geena Davis in A League of Their Own.
Her character, Dottie Hinson, plays the lead role alongside Tom Hanks, and it's one for the ages if you haven't seen it.
Liz: The Benchwarmers (Played by Molly Sims)
Not many people's first choice when wanting to watch a baseball flick, but the sizzling Molly Sims does add some appeal.
It must have been a treat to be Rob Schneider in the picture, because Molly played his wife, Liz.
Maureen Simmons: Mr. 3000 (Played by Angela Bassett)
Virtually anything with Bernie Mac is funny, and adding a professional, sexy appeal from Angela Bassett only enhances the cause.
And even if you're not a fan of Bernie Mac, at least watch it for Angela, because she's calm, cool and collected.
Lola: Damn Yankees (Played by Gwen Verdon)
One of the more popular actresses from the mid-1930s through the 1970s, Gwen Verdon is best known for her role as Lola in Damn Yankees.
She's sexy, seductive and more powerful than meets the eye. A sexy kind of dangerous, if you will.
Marian Foley: The Kid from Left Field (Played by Anne Bancroft)
All you need to know is that Anne Bancroft plays an attractive role in The Kid from Left Field.
Most know her from The Graduate with Dustin Hoffman, but this baseball flick in 1953 is one of her first films.
Memo Paris: The Natural (Played by Kim Basinger)
Definitely one of the best baseball movies ever, Kim Basinger plays a seductive Memo Paris in The Natural.
For one, Kim is sexy anyway, but this role also earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Rae Robinson: The Jackie Robinson Story (Played by Ruby Dee)
For those that don't know Ruby Dee, she played Denzel Washington's mother in American Gangster.
However, flashback 57 years from that movie, and we see her as the very attractive Rae Robinson in the 1950 box office smash, The Jackie Robinson Story.
For starters, it was a film that put her on the national map, and she got to play along-side the real Jackie Robinson.
That is one of the coolest things ever.
Pat Maris: 61* (Played by Jennifer Crystal Foley)
More well known as Billy Crystal's daughter, Jennifer has a minor role in Billy's 61*, as the wife of Roger Maris (played by Barry Pepper).
In any event, she's held various roles in acting throughout her career, but they can't compare as to working with family.
Jennifer Paige: Angels in the Outfield, 1951 (Played by Janet Leigh)
Ah the original Angel's in the Outfield from 1951, which provides us with a Janet Leigh who plays news reporter Jennifer Paige.
She's more known for her role in Psycho, by Alfred Hitchcock, but just one look at her and it's no surprise the original movie was a solid hit.
Melissa Curtis: The Road Home (Played by Corinna Harney)
The Road Home, also known as, The Pitcher and the Pin-Up, provides us with Corinna Harney (former Playboy Playmate) as the sexy Melissa Curtis.
Not a great baseball movie, but you can't go wrong with a former Playboy Model in the mix.
Maggie Reynolds: Major League III (Played by Jensen Daggett)
Probably the only thing Major League III had going for it was Jensen Daggett as Maggie Reynolds.
Problem is, her role wasn't that significant, and the movie was a bust.
In any event, she's still an attractive woman.
Lynn Wells: Major League (Played by Rene Russo)
You had to see this one coming.
This is arguably Rene looking her best, while also making a great movie even better.
Here's the kicker:
This was Rene Russo's first film, and she's only gotten better.
Solid beginning if you ask me.
Suzanne Dorn: Major League (Played by Stacy Carroll)
Another appearance from Major League comes with Stacy Carroll playing Suzanne Dorn.
As you can see, she's sizzling in the picture, and Charlie Sheen is blurry, but visible.
Jeez, I wonder why she's all dressed up for the man they call "Wild Thing"? (Rhetorical question).
Kit Keller: A League of Their Own (Played by Lori Petty)
Easily Lori Petty's most notable role as Kit Keller in A League of Their Own.
However, she also manages to captivate everyone as a virtually unknown actress throughout the film.
The reason?
Well, there are others like Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Madonna earning screen-time as well.
She'll most likely forever be known as Kit Keller, but in such an influential role and movie, it's definitely a good thing.
Oh yea, and she's really cute.
Carol Rose: Hustle (Played by Melissa DiMarco)
Since it was a TV movie, Hustle: The Pete Rose Story isn't nearly as well known as other baseball films.
That said, the very sexy Melissa DiMarco has a lead role as Pete's wife (Rose is played by Tom Sizemore).
Lucky Tom Sizemore.
Lindsey Meeks: Fever Pitch (Played by Drew Barrymore)
For one, Jimmy Fallon hasn't made very many movies in his career, and he's known more as a comic.
That said, he at least got to perform with Drew Barrymore in Fever Pitch.
Not a bad way for a movie career to go if you're Fallon.
Kelly: Chasing 3000 (Played by Tania Raymonde)
She doesn't have a major role in Chasing 3000, but one look at Tania Raymonde and it's all worth it.
Chasing 3000 is also an independent film with B-list celebs such as Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), and Lauren Holly (Dumb and Dumber).
Therefore, it's not too well known either, however, that doesn't take away from Raymonde's hotness.
Lorri Morris: The Rookie (Played by Rachel Griffiths)
Rachel Griffiths has had a pretty successful acting career.
From the TV series' Six Feet Under and Brothers and Sisters, to Blow with Johnny Depp, you can add in her supporting role of Lorri Morris in The Rookie, along with Dennis Quaid.
She plays your typical supportive, attractive and loving wife/mother, so what more could you ask for?
Annie Savoy: Bull Durham (Played by Susan Sarandon)
Arguably the best baseball movie ever, Susan Sarandon plays the very attractive Annie Savoy in Bull Durham.
It's also a lead role along with Kevin Costner, so if you haven't seen this one, add it to your list.
