As usual the faux polite complain about words.  Let's discuss the words they object to.

An "idiot" is a person who regularly spouts idiotic things.

A "moron" is a person who regularly spouts moronic things.

"Retard" is offensive to some people, but "special" is apparently OK (no, it makes no sense to me either, but "moron" and "idiot" are available as substitutes if using quotes around "special" is too tiring).

Further, stronger things, like "#$$^&" basically mean "idiot" or "moron."

Try it. An @$$ spouts asinine things.

A $#!+#&^) spouts $#!+#&^ things.

This is short to not tire the lips of the people who need it. 

If you are offended by my stating the obvious, I'm sorry.  Obviously this was not directed at you.

Yes, I am talking down to my target audience.  I assume there is a "nice" way to explain this without the tautology, but who accused me of being "nice."
