2009 is setting up to be a comeback year for the Fighting Tigers. Can they afford not to go after some insurance at the quarterback position?
Right now the have a starter with a problem, throwing touchdown passes to the other team.
LSU will have an experience veteran team next year. Signing a top junior college QB would help stabilize the position.
Either he becomes the starter, or pushes the current quarterbacks to step up. It achieves the same goal. The position is solidified.
What quarterback wouldn’t like playing for a team contending for a national championship. That makes recruiting so much easier.
Why a junior college quarterback you say? Field experience is the key. Junior college experience is still college football experience. That live game experience is invaluable.
With so much at stake, the prudent action maybe to go shopping for that junior college QB, for next year’s team.
