Every year, the WWE goes through the rosters and lets go the performers that aren’t living up to their end of the bargain or they just don’t feel they fit into the grand scheme of the company,

While some of these moves are in the best interest of the company, these moves are almost always driven by backstage politics.

It’s the fact that politics have climbed into every aspect of the wrestling game that has caused its recent downward spiral, and there was a time where wrestlers who deserved pushes got them.

One of the most senseless firings during this last spree was of third-generation superstar David Hart Smith. Smith is the son of the late British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith and the nephew of Brett and the late Owen Hart.

With the pain still fresh, David Hart Smith took to Facebook to talk about his future:

Yup, Japan here I come! No more WWE, had a great time tho.

Of all the possible ways to handle this situation, this is as tame as they come, but its not because he doesn’t care.

For months, the WWE has been misusing him and the rest of the Hart Dynasty, and instead of giving them the push they deserve, they decided that since they weren’t an instant success to can the whole idea.

The Hart name alone would have sold many old-school wrestling fans, and the trios ability to work together and touch on all the aspects of good wrestling never got the full exposure it needed to succeed.

As a singles competitor, Smith could have been a World-Champion caliber wrestler if he got the push from the management he deserved.

This was just another way for Vinny Mac to screw over another Hart like he did Brett in Montreal all those years ago.
