According to the Indianapolis Star's Curt Cavin, Izod IndyCar Series team owner A.J. Foyt confirmed today that he will use Honda engines for 2012. Foyt Enterprises joins Chip Ganassi Racing as a confirmed Honda engine team.
The only other team to announce an engine decision is Team Penske, and Chevrolet will be that team's engine supplier.
The third engine supplier for next season, Lotus, has yet to announce a team they're going to supply to. Don't be surprised to see KV Racing be their main focus, since Lotus is a sponsor on Takuma Sato's car.
Foyt also confirmed today that driver Vitor Meira will stick around for next season, but he wants to expand to a two-car team. Look for a driver to be named soon for what would be the No. 41 team entry.
