While Peyton Manning has been carving out a Hall of Fame NFL career, he's also been carving out a profitable acting career.

He's by far the most recognized athlete in the league today, largely due to his unparalleled success in the commercial business.

Whether it's throwing a football 40 yards with his laser-rocket arm or selling the newest double-stuffed Oreos, Peyton Manning has made a living, and a very successful one, by entertaining.

Here are 17 of his best media spots. Enjoy, and post your favorites in the comments!

*This is not a ranking, just a random list.

Early DirectTV Commercial

I don't know how early this commercial aired, but it's a hilarious commercial from Peyton's early career.

"Foreign films, cooking shows..."

For the record...I always wanted NFL Sunday ticket.

Another NFL Sunday Ticket Commercial

Again, brilliant.

Who'd have thought that Peyton would be replaced by Matt Leinart?

In his own family?

Nerf Football

"Can I touch the ball one time?"

I'm as big of a Peyton fan as anybody, but I have to believe that if someone did that to him in practice, he would not be happy.

I doubt they would play for the Colts much longer.

Mastercard: Christmas

Manning's Mastercard commercials have been some of the best athlete commercials in the past decade.

We'll start out with a recent commercial, which aired two years ago.

Mastercard: Supporting Your Team

Considering that this commercial came out a year after Manning was criticized for his "protection problem" quote, I find the irony here hilarious.

Mastercard: Fans

One of my all-time favorites.

That is all.

The DSRL

I love the look on the Mannings' parents' faces.

And the awesome theme music for the Double Stuf Racing League.

Mastercard: Blooper

While Manning is going to end his career as the best quarterback of all time (in my opinion), even he's not perfect.

Sprint: Peyton's Disguise

The mustache gets me every single time.

Peyton Interviews Eli

This is an awesome interview by Peyton. It's not one that everyone has seen, and I was delighted to see it.

Apparently Eli has more natural talent.

Well, he can beat him in ping-pong, at least.

Mastercard: New World

Peyton dealing with the haters.

"That's right, I am. Fourth floor."

Mastercard: Day at the Spa

Manning treats his enemies well.

No wonder he never gets sacked.

Mastercard: Christmas Bloopers

I like these better than the actual commercial, personally.

Pork and Beans

I had never seen these Wheaties spots until now.

Awesome.

Peyton's Language

This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen a group of athletes do.

"A lot of times, Kenny, we have no idea what we're doing. But the defense doesn't know that we don't know what we're doing. Now that's the next level."

Priceless Pep Talks

There are a bunch of these, and they're all hilarious.

SNL: United Way

This was the best SNL in a long time, and this clip was the best of them.

To clarify, this is Peyton's best spot by far. And the funniest I've ever seen by an athlete.

If you can find links to other SNL clips (not the promos), feel free to share in the comments.
