GAME PREVIEW:

The Lakers head back to Los Angeles after striking out on a “Texas Two-Step,” losing to both San Antonio and Dallas.

Dallas escaped with a 112-105 victory over the Lakers Friday night, despite being out-scored by 10 in that very 4th period. “We did a great job of battling back and actually having an opportunity to do some damage there,” Bryant said. “It just never materialized for us.”

Kobe finished with 40 points on an efficient 11-19 night from the field, but he shot a total of 21 free throws, making 17. Bryant notched his 3rd 40-point night of the season, two of which have come after C Andrew Bynum went down with a knee injury.

The previous time LA met Cleveland, the Cavs won, 94-90 behind a 33 point performance from LeBron James.

LeBron James guarded Kobe Bryant throughout the final minutes of the 4th quarter, as Bryant returned the favor on the other end of the court.
