The Padres are getting a lot of interest in reliever Mike Adams, and the Yankees are right there among the most interested suitors, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

The Padres are reportedly looking for a top prospect for Adams, who has quietly put together a very impressive career.

Since 2008, he has a 1.71 ERA with a 218 ERA+. His 9.9 K/9 and 2.4 BB/9 ratios are very impressive, as is his 0.905 WHIP.

Along with teammate Heath Bell, he is among the best relievers available on the market, but with Rafael Soriano expected back soon, it is hard to imagine the Yankees outbidding the opposition for Adams.
