They are no joke. The Tennessee Titans are now 8-0 after beating the Green Bay Packers in overtime 19-16. I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of shocked. I've been a Tennessee Titans/ Houston Oilers fan my whole life, and at the beginning of this season I would have never thought that 9 weeks into the season they would be 8-0. I knew that they had one of the best defenses in the NFL, but I thought their offense would hold them back once again from being one of the top teams in the NFL but that's seems to not be the case. Albert Haynesworth and Keith Bullock have lead the Titans defense to allow the least amount of points per game so far this season, allowing the Tennessee offense to not have to score that much in order to win. Now I know they say defense wins championships, but is the Titans offense going to be able to produce enough points throughout the rest of the season to continue to win and get deep in the playoffs?
The Titans seem to have a soild run game established with Chris Johnson in the backfield and Lyndel White pouding his way for touchdowns near the goal line. I'm very worried though that if the Titans running game is stopped their passing attack might not be able to bail them out. Whatever happens it has so far been a very successful season for Jeff Fisher and his Tennessee Titans and I'm very excited for them.
