50 All Time ESPN Hotties Power Rankings
Rebecca Grant
There have been endless lists dedicated to the women of ESPN because there are few things on this earth more cherished than the female employees of The Worldwide Leader in Sports. My goal is to provide you with the list to end all lists.
This particular list breaks down into the following categories:
- Top 5 ESPN Deportes
- Top 5 Men
- Top 10 Personalities Who Ditched ESPN
- Top 5 Veterans
- Top 10 Future Stars
- Top 5 Unsung Heroes
- Top 5 Top Tier Talent
- Top 5 Hotties ESPN should Poach from Other Networks
To help establish their rank I’ve employed a complicated and indisputable mathematical formula. Kidding, it’s not complicated but it is indisputable. Everyone is given a score out of 10 in the following categories: looks, personality and sports IQ—the looks score is weighted (doubled) for the ladies.
The Overall Heat Index is the total score divided by four.
Top 5 ESPN Deportes
ESPN Deportes is littered with gorgeous Spanish-speaking talent and the only downside is that I don't speak Spanish.
Thanks to my educational short-comings, the top-notch hotties of ESPN Deportes are ranked on looks only.
You're devastated about this, I know.
5. Adriana Monsalve
Adriana Monsalve has been a sports anchor at ESPN Deportes since 2007. She got her start in entertainment as lead singer in the girl band “Chikas” before becoming a member of the pop bands “Tartara” in Venezuela, and “Latin Fiesta” in England.

1. Vanessa Palacio
Top 5 ESPN Men
Don't freak out, I'm well aware that you don't want to waste your time evaluating the male talent of ESPN but give a girl a break!
There are only five of them and it (probably) won't kill you.
5. Todd McShay
Todd McShay is one of ESPN's resident draft experts. How you can be considered a draft expert with a correct pick percentage of around 20 percent, well that's a question for another day.
Point For: McShay seems to be truly hated by ESPN's resident crotchety screamer, Mel Kiper Jr., which leads me to believe that he's probably a decent enough human being.
Point Against: He's kind of bad at his job and his critics insist he isn't qualified for his position, having never served as a scout and never earned a starting position in college.
Looks: 7, Personality: 3, Sports IQ: 5
Overall Heat Index: 5
4. Jesse Palmer
Canadian born Jesse Palmer shared playing time with Rex Grossman while attending the University of Florida. He was selected by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2001 draft but never managed to win a starting job during his unremarkable four year career in the NFL.

Looks: 10, Personality: 1, Sports IQ: 7
Overall Heat Index: 6
3. Mark Schlereth
Mark Schlereth played 12 seasons in the NFL before retiring in 2000. Following his retirement he slimmed down substantially and quickly landed a job at ESPN.

Point Against: The goatee. We're over it dude.
Looks: 6, Personality: 7, Sports IQ: 9
Overall Heat Index: 7.3
2. Toni Reali
Quick-witted and snarky Tony Reali pulls double duty as host of ESPN's Around the Horn and as the ever present "stat boy" on Pardon the Interruption.

Overall Heat Index: 8.3

Looks: 9, Personality: 8, Sports IQ: 10
Overall Heat Index: 9

If ESPN the gold standard of sports broadcasting they should have an easier time holding on to their talent.
These are the ones that got away.
10. Michele Tafoya
Michele Tafoya spent 10 years at ESPN before ditching the network for NBC, where she is currently a sideline reporter for NBC's Sunday Night Football.
Point For: On 25 October 2003, Tafoya purposely poured beer over two fans beneath her luxury box at the Metrodome during a University of Minnesota versus University of Michigan game. She's a brawler, gotta love it.
Point Against: She works mostly in radio.
Looks: 6, Personality: 7, Sports IQ: 7
Overall Heat Index: 6.5
9. Bonnie Bernstein
According to her website Bonnie Bernstein is one of the most well-respected names in sports broadcasting. She began her career with ESPN in 1995 before jumping ship for CBS in 1998, where she stayed until 2007 before rejoining ESPN.

Looks: 7, Personality: 6, Sports IQ: 7
Overall Heat Index: 6.75
8. Kit Hoover
If you’re old like me, you may recognize Kit Hoover best as a cast member of the first season of MTV’s Road Rules. She got her start in broadcasting on ESPN’s morning talk show Cold Pizza and she can currently be seen alongside Billy Bush on Access Hollywood.

Point For: She’s got a Facebook page where she actually answers real human beings.
Point Against: Her website claims that VERSUS is the fastest growing cable network in the country despite the fact that about a dozen other cable networks makes the exact same claim. (Example 1, 2, 3, 4)
Just because I say that my butt is the fastest growing cable network in the country doesn't mean it's true. Anyone besides me sick of the lies?
Looks: 10, Personality: 8, Sports IQ: 8
Overall Heat Index: 9
1. Jill Arrington
University of Miami alum Jill Arrington only spent about a year at ESPN but she made quite an impression. Today she can be seen hosting a variety of sports shows on FOX Sports.
Point For: She’s the aunt of Dakota and Elle Fanning. I don’t know why she gets a point for this, but she does.

5. Lisa Salters
ESPN’s Lisa Salter is a versatile journalist who has covered everything from the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino to the O.J. Simpson murder case. Currently she can be seen as a sideline reporter for Saturday Night Football and the NBA on ABC.
Point For: Salters is the cousin of University of Pittsburgh (and Dallas Cowboys…) great Tony Dorsett.

Looks: 5, Personality: 8, Sports IQ: 9
Overall Heat Index: 6.75
4. Dana Jacobson
University of Michigan graduate Dana Jacobson has been with ESPN for nearly a decade. She is forced to spend hours a day in close proximity to surly flame-thrower Skip Bayless and still manages to maintain a positive disposition.

Looks: 6, Personality: 10, Sports IQ: 8
Overall Heat Index: 7.5
3. Linda Cohn
Linda Cohn has been with ESPN since 1992 and is one of the network’s most well-known personalities. She’s also an accomplished author and an occasional backup singer for REO Speedwagon.
Point For: Cohn was the goalie for her university’s women’s ice hockey and despite her age she remains steadfastly committed to "do me" boots. Respect.

Looks: 8, Personality: 10, Sports IQ: 9
Overall Heat Index: 8.75
1. Hannah Storm
It’s kind of surprising that University of Notre Dame graduate Hannah Storm has only been with ESPN since 2008; given the amount of attention she’s received. Where Tony Kornheiser, a self-described ‘troll’, gets off calling someone out for how they present themselves is beyond me.
Point For: Storm handled the Kornheiser incident with more dignity than most people could muster.
Point Against: She’s a regular contributing writer for Cosmopolitan magazine- how does that crapshow still exist?
Looks: 10, Personality: 9, Sports IQ: 8
Overall Heat Index: 9.25
Top 10 Future Stars of ESPN
There a distinct possibility that all ten ladies on this list have already been described by someone as "the next Erin Andrews." That title is thrown around far too often considering that the 33-year-old Andrews probably doesn't have any plans to cede her identity to any of these ladder climbing hussies!
Certainly not without a viciously hot catfight.
10. Elizabeth Moreau
The gullible Elizabeth Moreau is a former Big Ten Network correspondent who now works for ESPNU and ESPN2. Currently she can be seen as a college football sideline reporter, volleyball analyst and track and field reporter.

Looks: 7, Personality: 8, Sports IQ: 9
Overall Heat Index: 7.75

Looks: 9, Personality: 8, Sports IQ: 9
Overall Heat Index: 8.75
1. Lindsay Czarniak
NBC4 Washington reporter Lindsay Czarniak was hired by ESPN in June 2011. I’ve been saying this in the privacy of Washington, D.C. the last few years but I’m going to go out on a limb and flat out guarantee publicly that Lindsay is the “next Erin Andrews.”
Point For: Czarniak isn’t just another pretty face, she is hands-down the most competent sports journalist in the DC area. Check out some of her highlights here.

Looks: 6, Personality: 7, Sports IQ: 8
Overall Heat Index: 6.75

UCLA graduate Colleen Dominguez joined ESPN in 2004 as a Los Angeles based reporter. She is a contributor to a number of programs on the network and regularly covers major breaking news in LA: most notably conducting the sole interview with Shaq the day he ditched the Lakers.
Point For: Dominguez is not afraid to conduct a controversial interview; a nice change from the monotony of sports journalism.

Point For: She’s willing to be a nerd and admit she wants a Segway.

Looks: 10, Personality: 6, Sports IQ: 6
Overall Heat Index: 8
2. Erin Andrews
University of Florida graduate Erin Andrews might be the only woman in broadcasting who isn’t “the next Erin Andrews” given the fact that she’s actually Erin Andrews.
Point For: Andrews is an institution in sports- no small achievement for a woman in this male dominated field.
Point Against: The last couple of years in the spotlight have been tough for Andrews and she just doesn’t seem like herself anymore. She admits she needs to find her smile again, hopefully she will.
Looks: 10, Personality: 9, Sports IQ: 10
Overall Heat Index: 9.75

Overall Heat Index: 10
Top 5 Hotties ESPN Should Poach from Other Networks
