The Nashville Predators officially unveiled their new uniforms to hundreds of fans in downtown Nashville at the annual Skate of the Union for the Predators. Here's what Ryan Suter told the Tennessean about the new uniform.

β€œIt brings Nashville into the jersey, with the music and the culture here. I think people got upset when they saw a yellow jersey and it looked like Team Sweden. But now that the actual jersey is out, I think it looks classy.”

The jersey features some nifty musical references, such as the guitar strings on the numbers, the guitar pick on the shoulder, and a keyboard across the inside of the neck. All in all, the jersey is a wonderful tribute to the city, and definitely stands out amongst the crown.

Here's what the popular jersey critique blog, Icethetics, had to say about the uniform.

"I give it three thumbs up (I'm going to need to borrow somebody's thumb) for standing out in a sea of sameness in this league. I'm thrilled to see them drop the blue jersey β€” which is becoming overused. I'd say it's one less we'll see in the NHL next season but then I'm betting on a blue sweater from the Winnipeg Jets, whenever that comes."

Personally, I think this yellow uniform would make an excellent third uniform for the club with the blue alternates serving as the home uniform. However, it is tough to argue with standing out amongst the crowd of blue jerseys, and the gold on the uniform is better than the last attempt by Nashville.

Of course, it's just a uniform, but like I said, it's the dead zone. We'll see how the Predators play in this new uniform, but it appears the team has generated some excitement down in Tennessee.
